While you are deep into the Soft Life Experience, your baby(ies) will be enjoying an enchanting day in the forest of Sande in Vestfold with our children's program, "Hidden Treasures of the Forest." This immersive experience invites children, ages 5-12, to engage in meaningful conversations around the campfire, where they will discover the vital role nature and useful plants have played in the lives of people in the North for thousands of years.
As part of this adventure, children will embark on an exciting quest to uncover nature's hidden treasures that have been forgotten. Equipped with laminated guides featuring images and information on the five most common plants in the area—such as birch, nettle, pine, spruce, raspberry, and meadowsweet—they will work in groups led by older children and accompanied by an adult. Our dedicated facilitators will ensure a safe and nurturing environment, allowing the little explorers to fully immerse themselves in the wonders of nature.
This program is designed to foster exploration and discovery, encouraging children to collect stones, moss, and other treasures they find along the way. After their exciting adventure, we will gather to share and discuss the treasures they've collected, answering their curious questions and celebrating their discoveries.
As a highlight of the day, the foraged herbs will be transformed into a delightful brew, cooked over the campfire, allowing all participants to taste and experience these plants in a sensory way that connects hands, heart, and mind. This is a moment of celebration as we recognize the treasures we've found and the importance of revitalizing our connection with nature.
Bring your children to this magical experience, where they will learn, explore, and connect with nature while fostering a sense of community.
